How to use the website
How do I report the data of culture-confirmed cases and deaths in my hospital or in my institution?
Contributors are able to report cases by clicking on
“Report cases” on the primary tab on the website. On doing so, this should direct you to your email application, allowing you to fill up the form and emailing it to the RCN. However, if the email application does not appear on the website, please copy the form and email it to
melioidosis.info@tropmedres.ac. Here is an example

Where can I download the data of number of cases being published and reported to date?
On the Header menu, there is a Tab called
“Database”. On clicking it you will be directed to the Online Database page. On this page you are able to select what database you are looking for, then on the top right corner you can click on “Download” which will allow you to download the excel file.
I am uncertain about a particular bacterial strain; I suspect it to be Burkholderia pseudomallei. Where do I find support for strain identification?

What are the various methods used to identify B. pseudomallei?
The Standard operating procedure (SOP) provided on the website to identify

How do I communicate or connect with other people who have an interest in Melioidosis?
There is a Google group for Melioidosis.info. People who join this group will be part of the International Melioidosis Society (IMS). The objective of this group is to facilitate communication between members. In order to join go to www.melioidosis.info then click on
“Join research network”, on doing so you will be redirected to the Google group. Just click on “Join group to post”. You do not require a gmail address to post.
